The hair has to be a minimum of 1/4th of an inch (length of a grain of rice, any thing shorter and there is no guarantee of the hair being removed completely). About 2-3 weeks after shaving 4-6 weeks after wax/sugar/epilating/plucking.
The short answer.... no. Sugaring is an ancient art of hair removal, due to it's all natural properties and being water soluble it cannot rip any skin off, it does not go on hot so it does not burn. It warms up with the bodys natural temperature. The sugar is removed the opposite way of waxing, it is applied against the way the hair grows and removed in the direction of growth. Each person has very different pain tolerances, please take a tylenol 30 minutes before your appointment if worried of any pain.
